Early Childhood Educator ll / lll Description:

Legacy Children's Centre is hiring! We are in search of a self motivated, fun loving, enthusiastic EARLY EDUCATOR ll / lll to complete our team in a full time permanent position. 

​

We are an inclusive, nature based preschool program with spaces for 32 children between the ages of 2-5. Check out our facebook page to see our natural play space, as well as all the fun we have!

​

 

We are located 25 minutes east of Winnipeg (past Transcona) in Landmark, Manitoba. Candidates must be comfortable with highway driving and winter roads.

​

A successful ECE at our centre will need to:

• understand the areas from which the program draws inspiration, particularly child inspired play-based learning.

• participate in the creation, implementation, and evaluation of a developmentally appropriate program.

• observe children’s emerging interests and provide research-based opportunities and materials.

• mentor and guide staff to meet their fullest potential.

• be comfortable upholding the values and beliefs of the centre and our partnership with Heartland Community Church (see HCC website).

 

We offer a play-based approach to learning with a focus on the great outdoors. We have recently completed work on an amazing outdoor natural play space, as you can see on our Facebook page and Legacy website.

Eligible Candidates:

A successful candidate will require:

• a classification (ECE II/III) from the province of Manitoba

• current First Aid and CPR certification

• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Persons

• Child Abuse Registry Check

• familiarity with Circle of Security philosophy (considered an asset and taught onsite)

• an ability to take initiative and 'think outside the box'

• a desire to be part of a small team environment

• a love of laughter!

Child Care Assistant/Inclusion Support Description:

We are in search of a self-motivated, fun-loving enthusiastic Child Care Assistant/Inclusion Support person to complete our team in a part time term position. Hours will be 9:00-3:30. We are an inclusive, nature based preschool program with spaces for 32 children between the ages of 2-5. We are located 25 min. east of Winnipeg, in Landmark Manitoba. Check out our website!

A successful Inclusion Support person at our centre will need to:

• understand the areas from which the program draws inspiration, particularly child inspired play-based learning

• participate in the creation, implementation, and evaluation of a developmentally appropriate program

• observe children's emerging interests and plan activities around them

• physically able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to fifteen pounds

• physically able to crouch/sit on the floor to engage in play with children

• be comfortable upholding the values and beliefs of the centre in our partnership with Hearland Community Church.

Eligible Candidates will require:

-current first aid and CPR certification (or willing to obtain)

-Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Persons (or willing to obtain)

-an ability to take initiative and 'think outside the box'

-a desire to be a team player
